The world tells us who we have to be, but what is the truth of who we are? What are the stories that lie behind our voice and how can we share them? Let’s figure it out together. Jetta Harrison of Meet My Melanin will be diving into utilizing and unleashing our throat center to share what we all know needs to be said, taking our history into our own hands, so textbooks don’t try to glaze over what is our true reality ever again. We all deserve to be heard and known and it’s a feeling in the body that helps us get to this place of unleashing. It’s a place inside that returns us home to ourselves. BIPOC only.
Event II:
Saturday, August 27th 12pm-1pm
Open to children - 14 max, please RSVP in the link here: https://meetmymelanin.rsvpify.com
The younger we begin allowing our truths to emerge the more authentic children can show up in the world. In this workshop we will practice storytelling through authentic engagement and allow space for truth and freedom to emerge.
*All BIPOC who participate in our workshops will have first access to sign up for a free full service photoshoot with Jetta Nicoline. Jetta has been a professional photographer for over 9 years and has dedicated time to this movement. From now to October 31st she will be photographing people of color to be a part of the first Meet My Melanin art gallery showing in Lewisburg PA. To be a part of the event you must be willing to be photographed and to share your truth through the telling of your own story. These workshops are dedicated to helping you do this with ease. See you soon!
