300+ Powerful Healing Affirmations to Nurture Your Body from Within
You Can Heal Your Life!
Back in 2022, while giving an in-person reading during a NAACP Juneteenth event, I had an unforgettable experience. As I connected with a woman’s energy, I felt a sharp, piercing pain in my chest, radiating throughout my body. I knew something significant was happening. I shared with her that I sensed a blockage in her throat chakra and a deep pain in her heart chakra, signaling an imbalance. She later revealed she was battling breast cancer—a moment that reinforced for me the profound mind-body-spirit connection. It illustrated how emotional and energetic burdens can manifest physically, and reminded me of the importance of recognizing and addressing these inner struggles.
I believe that many physical ailments begin as emotional or spiritual imbalances, either ignored or unnoticed. Often, health issues arise seemingly out of nowhere, but in truth, they’re linked to the energy and emotions we carry. I want to empower you with tools to explore what might be the underlying causes of your own discomfort, pain, or dis-ease.
Creating this post took time, as I scanned each page from Louise Hay’s You Can Heal Your Life, which details over 300 ailments, their probable spiritual causes, and affirmations to support healing. If you’re curious, take a look through the images below. They’re arranged alphabetically by ailment, and each one offers an invitation to reflect. If the probable cause resonates with you, sit with that awareness. And if it doesn’t, ask yourself, “What am I not acknowledging that could have brought on this pain?”
I’m doing this work alongside you, as I have my own physical healing to address. I’ve come to see that much of it stems from not fully committing to the things I know will benefit me. This inner work is not always easy, but it’s powerful.
This list is just a snippet of what’s in You Can Heal Your Life. If you feel called to dive deeper, you can find the book here—and support a Black-owned bookstore in the process.
From my observations: Some of you need to stop engaging in unprotected intimacy with those who harm you. Some of you need to talk through your emotions with a therapist. Some of you may need to look into healing your inner child, or take responsibility by re-parenting yourself—become what you’ve always needed. For some, it may be time to heal your womb. Others need to move, dance, dream, rest, or take accountability in ways that honor your own growth.
I share this resource with love and hope that, if it reaches you at the right time, it can support your journey.
Please remember: I am not a doctor, and I cannot heal you. But you can heal your life, and I’m here to support you however I can.
